Position: District Enrichment Coordinator
Supervisor(s): Elementary and Secondary Curriculum Directors
General Job Description: K-12 Program development, implementation and monitoring of advanced services with a focus on enrichment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support high yield instructional strategies and district initiatives at the secondary level.
- Partner with Secondary Curriculum Director and Secondary/Post-Secondary staff around Programs of Study and CTE courses to ensure compliance with state mandates and guidance
- Partner with Secondary Curriculum Director and Post-Secondary staff to oversee and monitor dual credit programs
- Work collaboratively with High School staff on developing and revising programs of study brochures and informational guides to support career pathways and developing a system of support for students
- Monitor and support district enrichment programs (Science Fair, Science Olympiad, National History Day, STEM with Boys and Girls Club, etc.)
- Conduct frequent walk-throughs in enrichment courses to gain insights and provide instructional feedback and support
- Develop and revise enrichment, gifted, and programs of study curriculum
- Oversee gifted, acceleration and provide professional development and support around gifted framework, expectations and instructional practices that support high achieving students
- Create professional development and training for teachers to address the learning needs of students
- Work cooperatively with the Exceptional Programs Department on the student referral process, evaluations and IEP compliance
- Facilitate the district Gifted Advisory Committee
- Work collaboratively with the Curriculum and Instruction Department in addressing enrichment, advanced services and specialized program needs through data analysis
- Support teachers and administrators around instructional practices as they relate to the Farmington Model of Instruction and all other district initiatives
- Scheduling and administration of the F-TAP evaluation and analysis of data and placement of students
- Partner and support principals in all matters related to advanced services
- Work collaboratively with school SAT teams for students being referred for traditional testing
- Supervise enrichment secretary and FTAP testing coordinator
- Maintain advanced services web page with essential information related to position and programs
- Write, submit and oversee various grants as designated by Curriculum and Instruction
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: MA degree, Level III Administrative License, Strong instructional skills, Strong skills in data analysis, Ability to effectively facilitate group discussions and training, Strong peer coaching skills, Strong organizational skills
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired. The following may be required: Sitting, standing, lifting, moving about the room or school, carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture.
Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.
Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision. After hour work may be required.
