Position: FACE Data Clerk (part time an average of 15 hours per week)
Supervisor: Building Principal/FACE counselor/Director of Secondary Curriculum
General Job Description: The FACE data clerk will work with FACE Counselors to maintain student files, coordinate calendars with appropriate staff and parents, communicate with parents and students through a variety of venues, update and maintain scholarship database, and assist with classroom and some evening presentations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain data and records as requested by supervisor
- Utilize technology in the performance of job duties
- Develop spreadsheets and database documents with information provided by supervisor
- Respect the requirement of confidentiality regarding students and services
- Direct parents or others who request information regarding the student(s) to the appropriate place
- Participate in trainings as required and/or recommended for personal growth or to support the current job assignment
- Work cooperatively with the classroom teachers, school personnel and FACE counselor
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently when the FACE counselor
is engaged with other responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to follow the FACE counselor directions and document appropriately
- Demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude for student learning
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate the ability to work productively in a variety of flexible settings
- Demonstrate good judgment and the a ability to follow directions
- Follow school and district requirements regarding work hours and punctuality
- Comply with building regulations as identified by the principal
- Accept other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, Knowledge in basic office procedures, computer functions, data entry, demonstrate the ability to work with students and parents.
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture may be required.
Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.
Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision.
Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district.
